COSTA RICA - A TRIP FOR ADULTS
BASKING RIDGE, NJ - The Somerset County Park Commission Environmental Education Center is offering its second Naturalist-led trip for adults age 18 and over to the rainforests of Costa Rica from Thursday, November 6 through Saturday, November 15, 2008. This educational and recreational adventure for adults is modeled after the award winning AWESIM Adventures trip for teens. Adventurers will be led on explorations of a variety of habitats, including rainforests, by a professional Costa Rican guide and Somerset County Park Commission Naturalists whom have studied various aspects of Costa Rican ecology. Activities will include a trip to the Butterfly Garden and Hummingbird Gallery in Monteverde, a hike in the Cloud Forest Reserve, a natural history hike through the rainforest forest canopy on suspension bridges, a night hike, a ride on horseback, and a trip to the beach to observe sea turtles laying their eggs. The trip is for active individuals with an interest in nature, the environment, and outdoor pursuits.
