NESHANIC STATION, NJ – The Somerset County Park Commission today unveiled two new “Solo Rider” Golf Carts for use by golfers with disabilities.

In response to requests from golfers with disabilities, the Somerset County Park Commission has acquired two “Solo Rider” electric golf carts that are available for golfers at all five Somerset County public golf courses.

The single seat golf carts will allow golfers with limited mobility or stamina to continue to enjoy a round of golf. The carts are designed to allow golfers to play using the elevated seat, to ride on greens with no impact on the turf, to maintain stability over rough terrain, and allow ease of enter and exit with a 350 degree swivel seat.

The carts will be made available at any of the courses upon 24-hour reservation. Reservations may be made by calling Ann at 908-369-1458, ext. 428 at which time the carts will be delivered to the appropriate Somerset County golf course.
