Volunteer Information:
Volunteers who work a minimum of three shifts will be invited to play in the Supporters and Volunteers outing that will take place the week following the Championship. Volunteers will be required to purchase uniform shirts ($25.00 each) which must be worn while on duty. A special for a hat & shirt is ($30) will also be available. Volunteers will need to supply their own khaki slacks, Bermuda style shorts or skirts.

You must be at least 18 years old to volunteer.

Route 202 South and make left onto Chubb Way (Route 646) OR Route 202 North and make right onto Chubb Way (Route 646). Chubb Way will merge with South Branch Road (Route 567). Neshanic Valley Golf Course is three miles on the left.

The 36th U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Links Championship will be held at Neshanic Valley Golf Course June 18-23, 2012 and conducted by the United States Golf Association. Neshanic Valley Golf Course is the flagship facility of the five-course Somerset County Park Commission system. The 27-hole Championship Course, the 9-hole Academy Course, the Learning Center, and the Callaway Golf Performance Center were designed to accommodate the needs
of golfers of all abilities.

Neshanic Valley has been carved out of 420 acres of rolling Branchburg, New Jersey farmland. Designed by Hurdzan/Fry Golf Course Design, the course covers 350 acres with 70 acres designated for future park usage. Course construction preserves existing land features and takes full advantage of the existing topography. Each of the championship (par 36) nine-hole courses, The Lake, The Ridge, and The Meadow, features five tees with the 18-hole layouts ranging from 5,050 yards to 7,108 yards. Rolling fairways, tees, and greens are creeping bentgrass, and the putting surfaces are well-guarded by large bunkers. An ample amount of fescue is found off the fairways and greens, and environmentally sensitive wetland areas come into play throughout the course. The greens have been designed with subtle undulations to increase the challenge of play. Electric carts will travel the 8.9 miles of paved cart paths.
