Administrative Asst./Volunteer Coordinator               Non-Exempt Grade 9
Environmental Education Center                                       Starting Rate $35,200 Max. $48,669

Under the direction of the Manager of Environmental Science, performs a variety of registration, financial, clerical, and office duties relevant to maintain an efficient and productive department. Provides administrative support for management and naturalist staff and responds to general public inquires. Prepares and processes room rental reservations for organized groups. Serves as department volunteer coordinator by recruiting, training, and placing volunteers as needed in addition to recording volunteer hours and organizing recognition.

Graduation from high school, including or supplemented by courses in business or office management. Associates degree from an accredited college or institution of higher education is preferred. Ability to use Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, and Access. Ability to use or learn RecTrac permitting and registration system, as well as MSI purchasing program, and Vista timekeeper. Ability to use office machines. Must have excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills. Ability to perform several job functions concurrently; able to exercise initiative and judgment under varying conditions of pressure; ability to remain patient and calm during constant interruptions of work flow. Ability to adjust work schedule as required for the efficient operation of the department. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with the public, staff, and other departments and agencies.

Maintenance Worker                                                        Non-Exempt Grade 6
Lord Stirling Stable                                                          Starting Rate $27,700 Max. $41,459

Under direction of the Foreman of Stable Maintenance, assist with maintaining the buildings, equipment, and grounds at Lord Stirling Stable. Duties include but are not limited to maintaining the indoor and outdoor rings, maintaining pastures, mowing and trimming lawns, pastures, and trails, maintaining fences and gates, assisting with repairs and construction to buildings, and snow removal. Position will also assist with the preparation of special events.

Ability to perform building maintenance tasks and equipment maintenance and repair. Ability to adjust work schedule to include some evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required for the efficient operation of the stable. Ability to operate tractors, mowers, and safely transport equipment using a small trailer. Ability to perform physical tasks under varying weather conditions. Ability to understand and follow oral instructions. Ability to work with the general public crucial. Must have a valid driver's license.

Coordinator, Computer Application Services                  Non-Exempt Grade 10                                  
Golf Operations                                                                    Starting Rate $38,300 Max. $57,438

Under the direction of the Deputy Director – Golf is responsible for maintaining and supporting all golf related technical services.  Included are the Tee Time Reservation Service, Golf POS, golf inventory system, golf registration system and web sites for each course.  The incumbent posts information on appropriate social media sites to promote activities at all golf courses.  The incumbent works directly with all golf operations personnel trouble shooting problems related to the daily activities of the systems involved.  When updates or revisions are made to any of these computer services the incumbent provides training to all users including  producing operational manuals and group training classes.   The incumbent also interfaces directly with Tee Time Subscribers providing them with information and solving problems.

Degree in computer science preferred or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience and a minimum of 3 years on the job experience.  Must have a thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional Package (Word, Excel and Access).  Must also be familiar with social media sites to be able to post marketing information on various sites.   Must possess excellent communications skills and be able to relate and deal with people one on one or in a group setting.  Must have a valid driver’s license.
