General Information
Greenway Park is a nine-acre tract located on Milltown Road in Bridgewater
housing a basketball court and an open play field. Access to fishing locations on the North Branch
of the Raritan River is provided.
Due to the deteriorating condition of the roller hockey rink and concerns for safety, the Park Commission authorized the demolition of the rink. Most recently, the rink was completely inundated with water during the remnants of Hurricane Ida. Raritan River Greenway Park is in a flood zone, and it just seems like flooding now occurs in that area all too often. The Commission instructed its Leisure Services Committee to study alternative uses for the site.
