LEAD LINE PONY RIDES return to Lord Stirling Stable beginning June 1, 2021!

Lead Line
Lead Line pony rides are a great way to introduce children to the exciting world of horseback riding. Lord Stirling Stable offers 20-minute pony rides for children who weigh 95 lbs. or less and can sit up on the pony without assistance. Pony rides are currently available between 9AM -11AM and at 1:15PM & 1:45PM on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Parents/legal guardians may book their child’s ride online, selecting a day and time slot from the posted schedule. A pony is assigned to each online time slot, with their weight limit posted. Up to three riders from the same family may take turns on the pony during the allotted time. No rider may exceed the pony’s weight limit. See our flyer here.

Pony rides will be led by Stable staff or an authorized volunteer. An approved equestrian helmet is required and provided at no additional fee. Please click here to register.

pony grooming to Lord Stirling Stable beginning June 21, 2021!

Pony Grooming – A private half hour grooming lesson with a member of the Lord Stirling Stable staff. These sessions for ages five years ild through adult and are tailored to the skills and interest of the participant. Beginners will focus on grooming and being at ease around the pony; more advanced groomers will have the opportunity to practice grooming and may advance to saddling, haltering and leading. To register for Pony Grooming, search on the key word “groom.” Please click here to register.

Pony Grooming Staff Members:

Lindsay loves working with both children and adults. She began riding at age 11, and for the past sixteen years has worked around horses: teaching, showing, training and doing everything from general barn chores to stable management. Lord Stirling Stable was fortunate to bring her on staff four years ago. Animals (and people too!) are drawn to Lindsay because of her gentle and patient nature.

Colleen began her riding career in 2004 at Lord Stirling Stable and started working as a part timer at LSS in 2008. From 2013 through 2019 she was an LSS summer camp counselor. She currently boards two horses at the stable. Colleen loves to laugh and mixes teaching with fun.

Toni, a Lord Stirling Stable Supervisor, has been working with children and horses for many years. She instructs, rides and teaches horse care to all ages. She loves sharing her knowledge about the LSS ponies and pony care with others!

For an annual or daily fee, people who have their own horses may enjoy our 14 miles of well-groomed trails. Please click here for more information. Questions? Call 908.766.5955 x 5010 or email or A trail map is located on the green sidebar to the right.
