Event Date:
Sunday, April 7, 2024 - 1:00pm to 2:00pm

(All Ages)
Join us for a fun-filled afternoon of stories and wildlife sightings along the rural and scenic Musconetcong River. Our guide for the day will be accomplished paddler, award winning author, photographer and videographer, and overall outdoor enthusiast Jeremy Travers. Growing up on the shores of Lake Hopatcong, Jeremy developed a strong appreciation for our wild and open spaces at a young age. Jeremy has spent the last twelve years documenting and sharing all of his experiences, on and off the water, through photography and video.

When Jeremy isn’t paddling, he spends most of his time volunteering and inspiring others to enjoy and protect the great outdoors. He is founding board member and current board Vice President for the non-profit PEACENJ (People Enjoying Active Conservation in the Environment in New Jersey.) Jeremy has also spent the past nine years volunteering his time with the Musconetcong Watershed Association (MWA) which bestowed upon him the Friend of River Award in 2022.

Jeremy is an active participant and group leader in MWA’s river monitoring program, along with river cleanups, and also helps guide river trips with MWA members.  Additionally, Jeremy has volunteered his time with the Lake Hopatcong Foundation for several years guiding paddle trips through the season. He also provides on-the-water support for their annual Lake Loop Challenge, as well as helping to conduct cleanups and other activities.
