Colonial Park Gardens and Leonard J. Buck Garden offer a beautiful setting for your wedding photos. Permits for use of these gardens can be obtained by calling the numbers below. Individuals with hearing or speech impairments may use the Relay Service at 711. Please note that individuals and organizations requesting a permit must agree that while using the facilities made available by the Somerset County Park Commission, they will not discriminate in any manner against any person by reason of race, color, gender, disability, age, sexual orientation, national origin, or religious or political affiliation. Please allow a minimum of two to four weeks when scheduling.


Colonial Park Gardens

A permit is required for wedding/engagement ceremonies, special events, and posed photography whether amateur or professional would include, but is not limited to, birthdays, ceremonies, engagements, family portraits, graduations, maternity, proms, quinceanera, weddings, and senior portraits of the like. Leonard J. Buck Garden

Accepting reservations for wedding photography sessions. This naturalistic public garden, cradled in the historic Moggy Hollow, offers numerous wedding photo sites in its beautiful garden setting of planted rock outcroppings, woodland, stream, and meadow. The footbridge sites overlooking the serene Moggy Brook are perfect settings for bride and groom, and are colorful from spring through fall. A new dimension to the garden is the addition of a rustic gazebo fashioned of red cedar and Osage orange used in their natural contours. This picturesque structure is tucked into a mixed border planting of perennials, grasses and shrubs, providing lovely wedding picture opportunities. Reserve your date early by calling Leonard J. Buck Garden at 908 722-1200 ext. 5621. Monday through Friday from 9am-4:30pm. Wedding Photo permits are available from June through November. The Leonard J.
