East County Park

General Information

East County Park, located in Warren Township offers a variety of lifetime memories. The Somerset County Board of County Commissioners (formerly the Somerset County Board of Freeholders), Somerset County Park Commission, and Warren Township have developed the 150 acre property as a partnership. The park includes two multi-use nature trails. The initial 8' wide half-mile long trail made of stone, loops around a serene pond with views of nearby meadows. The 6' wide paved trail is approximately 0.4 mile in length with a pedestrian bridge connecting the stone loop trail off of Reinman Road. The park offers a 28' octagonal shade structure and is located in the center of the stone loop trail for relief from weather conditions.

Located to the west  of the new trail is a leash free dog park. This fenced in park is separated into sections for small dogs and large dogs.

East County Park offers one picnic area, available by reservation for groups up to 50 people. The pavilion picnic area has 8 tables and 2 grills. The grove is ADA accessible. A porta-john is located in the parking lot.

In another section of the park, there is a synthetic turf multi-use field, synthetic turf and natural turf soccer fields, and a nature trail. To inquire about reserving the athletic fields, please contact Warren Recreation at 908 753-8000 ext. 270.
