Part-Time Maintenance Worker

Description
Under the direct supervision of the Repair Technician Foreman and in collaboration with the Repair Technician Assistant Foreman, this position assists with the maintenance and repair of buildings, facilities, and systems across all Park Commission locations. Duties include inspecting and testing equipment to identify malfunctions, collaborating with other staff to ensure proper equipment operation, and inspecting and reporting on the condition of all park structures. These structures include, but are not limited to, buildings, walkways, bridges, steps, railings, fences, trails, and portable restrooms.

This part-time role involves assisting with various maintenance tasks, including painting, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, and general facility maintenance as required.

Qualifications
A high school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) is required, along with one year of relevant experience and/or training. It is essential to possess the ability to engage effectively with the general public. Additionally, the candidate must be available to report to work during emergency situations. A valid New Jersey driver’s license is mandatory.

Part-Time Stable Workers

Duties include feeding and grooming horses, care of tack, and cleaning stalls. Must be able to adjust work schedule to include some evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to perform physical tasks under varying weather conditions. Previous experience working with horses preferred. $17.00/hour.

Part-Time Recreation Assistant

Assist children, teens, and adults with developmental disabilities with instruction of skills in a variety of recreation activities such as cooking, crafts, fitness, games, trips.  Evening and weekend hours.  Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred but not required. $16.00/hour.
