Part-Time Stable Workers
Duties include feeding and grooming horses, care of tack, and cleaning stalls. Must be able to adjust work schedule to include some evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to perform physical tasks under varying weather conditions. Previous experience working with horses preferred. $16.50/hour.
Recreation Assistant
Assist children, teens, and adults with developmental disabilities with instruction of skills in a variety of recreation activities such as cooking, crafts, fitness, games, trips. Evening and weekend hours. Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred but not required. $15.50/hour.
Mail Courier
Under direction of the Administrator/Executive Services responsible for delivering mail and packages to various park facilities, typically along a designated route. Routes are traversed by Park Commission assigned vehicle. Other details to include mail collection and sorting to distribute along assigned route. Responsible for the cleanliness of assigned vehicle. This position is part-time. The hours/days of work are Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8am – 4:30pm unless adjusted to accommodate dates that the Park Commission is closed. $15.50/hour.
Job Duties:
1. Load mail in delivery vehicle and sort it in preparation for efficient delivery along your assigned route.
2. Deliver mail to/from County and various Park Commission facilities.
3. Communicate with facility managers via Park Commission issued cell phone and follow route instructions provided by the Park Commission. Be willing to change or modify routes as needed.
4. Operate company vehicle in accordance with motor vehicle regulations, auto insurance guidelines and company policies.
5. Responsible for the cleanliness of assigned vehicle.
6. Maintain accurate and detailed logs for vehicle maintenance.
7. Follow Park Commission policies and procedures.
8. Perform other duties as assigned by the Park Commission.
Qualifications
- Current, valid driver’s license
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift packages weighing up to 25 pounds
- Excellent navigational skills
- Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time
