Seasonal Maintenance Worker

Description
Under the supervision of the Park Foreman and the Assistant Foreman, the individual is accountable for the maintenance of grounds within the park facility and any additional areas designated. Responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to, equipment maintenance, lawn mowing, snow removal, and the removal of refuse.

Qualifications
A high school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) is required, along with one to two years of relevant experience and/or training. It is essential to possess the ability to engage effectively with the general public. Additionally, the candidate must be willing to work on weekends and holidays as needed and be available to report to work during emergency situations. A valid New Jersey driver’s license is mandatory.

Recreation Positions - $16.00/Hour

Lifeguards - $20.00/Hour

The Somerset County Park Commission is accepting applications for lifeguards at the Warrenbrook Pool for the summer season. Applicant must have Lifeguard Certification and be CPR/AED Certified. Free training will be provided upon employment.

Seasonal Park Ranger - $16.00/Hour 30 Hour work week

Under direction of a Park Ranger Supervisor, provides visitor services and protection and management of natural resources. Performs patrol on foot, bicycle and vehicle in general use parks and natural areas to assist visitors and solicit compliance with Park Commission rules and regulations. Participates in resource management duties such as trail clearing, trail maintenance as well as litter removal in a variety of weather conditions. Uniforms are provided at no cost. Footwear is at cost of employee. More info
