Rocking Horse Rehab is a pediatric therapy and family wellness center located in Basking Ridge, NJ. Rocking Horse Rehab specializes in equine assisted and traditional therapies for children and young adults with special needs. Our services are exciting, unique, and multi-sensory, offered by a professional staff of state licensed speech, physical and occupational therapists, licensed social workers, board certified behavior analysts, PATH certified adaptive riding instructors, music instructors, and of course, our equine partners! Our therapists and instructors are skilled in treating disabilities and medical conditions including autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injuries, brain tumors, developmental disorders, CHARGE syndrome, spinal muscular atrophy, sensory integration disorders, neuromusculoskeletal disorders and behavioral health disorders including, depression, mood disorders, post-traumatic stress, ADHD, and anxiety.
For 22 years, Rocking Horse Rehab (RHR) offered equine assisted therapy services to children and families in the tri-state area within the Essex Equestrian Center in West Orange, NJ. We are thrilled to announce our relocation to The Stables at Lord Stirling Park, a beautiful and serene setting which is a part of the Somerset County Parks system. Our services are provided in a large indoor arena with a newly renovated viewing area, two treatment and sensory rooms, a new grooming barn, outdoor riding rings and several acres of trails which includes a sensory trail that is in development! We are open from Sunday to Friday and currently have openings available in many of our therapy programs. Most of our therapy services are covered by insurance.
